Lotus Temple - New Delhi

Few days back a tour was organized by Chanakya, IAS Academy. We saw many historical monuments of Delhi like Humayun Tomb, Qutub Minar, Tuglakabad, and Lotus Temple. Lotus Temple was the place I liked most.

It’s a temple of Bahai set. The building of this temple is very attractive. It books like a lotus. It has 24 petals covered with Greek marbles. They are surrounded by 9 ponds. Inside the temple there is a big hall for meditation. There is also a museum inside the temple. The Bahai set is spread in various countries. All these temples have been built by the donation that was given by the devotees.

This temple is of great significance due to its structural pattern. For all those tourist who choose Delhi as their holiday destination, the visit to this temple is obligatory.
