Experience Shared by the Traveller
I had heard lot about the naturally formed backwaters of south India that are unrivaled and cannot be compared with any other backwater destinations. When I went to the south India, this claim became a clear authentication of facts. Kumarakom is absolutely a thrilling destination as it is here that I got the chance to live in houseboats of the backwaters. However, the package Divine Temple Tour of South India encompassed major temple destinations that were equally fascinating. Divine Temple Tour of South India started with Chennai - one of the major cities of India, but my enthusiasm started to take shape only after paying a visit to temple of Mahabalipuram and Madurai. The four rathas of Arjuna, Mahishasura, Mandap and Drishna Manap are really awe-inspiring. Later, a visit to the banks of the massive river Cauvery in Trichy is equally enthralling. The tour guide's constant pouring of information while boating on the Periyar Lake still buzzes in my ears. The Ooty toy train ride made me feel very childlike. The markets with the vast variety of goods, is a feat to the eyes and it is very true that only a person with good tastes can select the best out of the diverse items. I thank my tour operators for all their support and would like to assure them that in my next visit to India, I shall travel under their banner.
