Tripura Tourism:

Tripura is a beautiful hilly region based in north east region of India that has wealth of spots worth a watch for tourist’s delight. There are numerous lakes, wild life sanctuaries, places of religious significance, palaces and several other such things to be taken in stride during Tripura tourism.
 
History of Tripura:

During 14th century, Manikyas are believed to have conquered this state and their rule continued undisturbed for years and till independence of the country of India. Since partition of Bengal and creation of E. Pakistan, this region witnessed a swell in the number of migrant Bangladeshis who continued flocking here in large numbers. This condition resulted in generation of chaos among the locals who began pressing demand for complete autonomy and expulsions of the migrants. The situation till date remains chaotic.

Sightseeing in Tripura:

One of most frequent spot when making trip to Tripura is Agartala which also enjoys the position of being capital of state Tripura. This place has overflowing treasury of tourist places and the list includes number of beautiful lakes, and hill spots. There is an amalgamation of number of tourist places in Tripura, and included in the list are numerous palaces such a Ujjayanta palace, Kunjaban palace, Malancha Niwas, Neer Mahal. Also, you can witness number of rock cut carvings, like unakoti, debatamura, pilak. Tripura also boasts of number of wild life sanctuaries that have the collections of rare species of avians, quadruped animals, bipods and many more. The list of sanctuaries include the animals and birds like Tigers, mongoose, langur, rhesus macaque, capped langur, civets, pigs, whistling teal, open billed stork, white ibis and several others.

There are number of other attractions in store of Sepahijala wild life sanctuary viz. sepahijala zoological park, botanical garden, lakes and toy trains. Among other sanctuaries, included are Trishna wild life sanctuary, Kamalasagar, Deotamura, Dumboor lake, Rudrasagar Lake and the like. Among other tourist places to visit in Tripura is Jampui hill. This is a very beautiful tourist spot that is situated at an altitude of 3000 above level of sea and also is at a distance of200 Km. from Agartala is at close quarters to the border of Mizoram. This places has ever pleasant climate and number of trees laden with fruits keep casting off the aroma everywhere. The regions are particularly inhabited by Lushai tribes and there are numerous orchids and orange trees, sunrise and sunset points and many other attractions.

There are numerous exciting and fun packed activities to do in Tripura that you can indulge in and the list includes taking to long treks to the loftiest peak of the hill called as Betalongchhip, you can have delight in boat ride in the captivating Rudrasagar lake, embark in exploring old palaces, unique neermahal and Tripura sundari temple. As far as shopping in Tripura is concerned, an array of articles can be bought as souvenirs while on way back to home and the list includes cane and bamboo fixtures, wood carvings, adorning handicrafts such as lampshades, toys, tribal jewellery, number of speckled motifs and so on. Not much hotels in Tripura can be found and also those available offer only most fundament amenities. The list of limited range of accommodation facilities in Tripura includes tourist lodges in unakoti, circuit houses, royal guest houses inn hotels and the kind.
