Tourists can tour this place walking along a paved causeway to reach the magnificent palace which stands in the heart of Man sagar lake that is at a distance of 6 KMs. Another astonishing construction that adorns and adds to the list of tourist places to visit in Jaipur is Jantar mantar. This observatory had been constructed during 18th century and the construction had been commissioned by maharaja Sawai jaisingh II. Jaipur History

This city had been founded in the year 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai jai singh II. Jaipur used to be called as Amber prior to be christened after name of raja jaisingh. During medieval times, jaisingh was the only ruler who had resorted to be diplomatic and form the friendly relations with the Muslim invaders and not only this, but also had rendered them the valuable helps in their invasions against the Hindu kings and rulers.
