After fall of Mauryan empire, number of empire rose and fell in a succession. From 14th century onwards, Muslim rulers began intruding in India and they set up their ruling over this region. After wards, this region fallen under possession of Sikhs. Ultimately, after departure of Britishers out of India, this state was incorporated in India.

Gulmarg is one of the very enchanting hill regions in region of Kashmir that bounds to leave the tourists, spellbound of its unparalleled beauty and glamour. The landscape all over remains obliterated under the thick carpet of grasses, grooves of wild flowers belonging to distinctive species. One of the must visit spots during Jammu and Kashmir tourism is Pahalgam valley. There are numerous worth visiting spots in the vicinity of this valley, namely, Tulian lake, Baisaran meadow, Lidder valley.

The other tourist places to visit in Jammu and Kashmir are Sonamarg, Amarnath pilgrimage. There is no dearth of tourist places in Jammu and Kashmir. Wide gamut of hotels in Jammu and Kashmir can be found, without having to shed even a jot of sweat.
