A magnificent fort standing becalmed on the hills is Kodapalli fort, for the construction of which Prolaya Vema Reddi is credited. Prolaya Vema Reddi is believed to have founded the Reddy kingdom. There have been much scrambles among different forces to capture this fort. Reddys however are known for their gallantry who had even repulsed Muslim invaders for number of times. Eventually this fort had fallen in the clutches of Britishers. This is a magnificent fort that is embedded in the green backdrop surrounded by the hills on sides. Kondapalli village is also known for the number of checkered and innovative toys formed in shape of females and animals. Also, tourists can pay a visit to a Dargah of Gareeb Saheeb, who had been Persian hermit.
