Construction of Medak Church: There is a very intriguing tale behind construction of Medak Church. Methodist Christian, the Reverend Charles Walker Posnett had set his foot in city of Secunderabad in year 1895. Those days, there were no train services between Hyderabad and Medak and whole of journey had to be undertaken riding horse. This region was inhabited only by 150 to 200 Christians barely and a small sized tiled house used to serve as the worshipping place. With the rise in populace in Christian community, the structure was elevated a bit higher resembling a church in Mission Compound. However, not satisfied by this arrangement as well Mr. Posnett laid the foundation for construction of the magnificent Medak church in year 1914. Coincidently at the same time the region was getting plagued by the problems caused by famine. During this hour crisis, the construction of the church generated great employment opportunities for the locals which helped them a great deal in their survival.
